Didn’t Darren do that in H2$? Or is that the joke?

Oh yes. I think you’re right.

I’m glad to see Broadway.com kept their end of the bargain, that’s good. Very reliable people, I take back everything I ever said about them. Well, gee thanks. Schucks, this is cool! I would be remiss not to thank Mr. Daniel Radcliffe for giving me shoes to replace in the first place ,and to Craig [Zadan] and Neil [Meron] over there, who were crazy to let that kid from Glee do a show for three weeks, which is absolutely unheard of, and a producer’s nightmare, but you did it and let me do it and we ended up doing pretty ok, so thank you for that opportunity.

I’m a huge, huge fan and I’m always on Broadway.com a lot looking up new shows. And I’ve always been a theater fan and a person that votes for things and blogs and gets really nerdy about the whole process. People are always asking me, ‘When is the next time you’re going to be on Broadway?’ and I say ‘Well, whenever they let me.’ So between the fan support and my love of Broadway, I hope it’s sometime very soon. And in the meantime, maybe one of the fans at home will get one of these for replacing me. Break a leg!

Inside Scoop on Darren Criss’ Big Night at the Broadway.com Audience Awards

daxterdd:

Broadway and Glee fans went wild at the news that Darren Criss would host the Broadway.com Audience Choice Awards on May 13, and the reviews are in: He was a hit, both personally and professionally. “Everyone is here to relax and have a good time and to celebrate something we’re lucky to have: the fans,” Criss said after the show. The handsome young star felt right at home singing musical tributes to the Best Actress nominees and poking fun at himself for his three-week run in How to Succeed. “I added some adjectives to the script that maybe otherwise would have been a little cleaner,” he said with a laugh.

the little things: walking to work every day and realizing that I get to do this. For me, walking into an empty theater is a majestic, kind of religious experience, and to have that on a daily basis was my favorite moment. During breaks, when no one was around, I would take my guitar out and sit on the lip of the stage [of the Al Hirschfeld Theatre] and just sing out to nobody. It’s a very dear thing to me that I got to do that.
