I really try to not use the phrase in real life. But yes, I know what you mean. This is in-universe anxiety.
Me too! Like I haven’t even been able to type out the song title because of it.
Oh good, it’s nice to know it’s not just me. Anything remotely resembling that phrase is a trigger for me to worry incessantly, which is a bit of a problem because it seems like everyone I know uses it constantly. But I normally try to reassure myself by remembering that I can’t reliably and realistically use Glee meta to accurately interpret events in my life. BUT THAT METHOD DOESN’T WORK THIS TIME BECAUSE IT’S WITHIN GLEE THAT HAS ME WORRYING.
There’s a part of me that’s expecting some sort of car crash (literal or, more likely this time I think, metaphorical) since ND sang a song called “On Our Way”. It’s just close enough to “On my way” to put me on guard.
DEAR MOM. PLEASE STOP TEXTING “On my way.” WHENEVER WE’RE MEETING SOMEWHERE.
Sean gets t-boned at an intersection while he’s talking on his cell phone with his wife while he’s driving.
He started the phone conversation with, “Hey babe, I’m on my way.”
